Ateliers La Brique
by Emily Quentin
Emily Quentin is the wonderful chemistry of the doctor of biology and the craftsman, of the committed woman and of the terribly warm girl. With incredible talent, she has been able to combine the scientific method of designing cosmetic products and the artisanal know-how of their manufacture. In short, endowed with this grain of madness that combines science and creativity, it is, it must be admitted, a really successful cocktail. From her region of Nîmes, she formulates, doses, weighs, blends, and from her hands began to come out her first soaps, dedicated to repairing the specific injuries of her surroundings: dry skin, atypical skin, polluted skin, polluted skin, oily skin then came oils, serums, balms, solids... Officially created in 2018, his brand has managed to successfully trace its path, while surrounding itself with a network of suppliers sharing the same values. A human and ethical brand that is really worth a visit.
Inspirations
Her friends and family for whom she will create her first soaps according to their specific needs. Respect for the environment and the body. A taste for science and crafts. The labels were created by her sister Clémentine.
Values
Manufacture cosmetics without toxic products, healthy, of quality and without ecological impact. Organic raw materials certified AB, exclusively of vegetable origin. Simple and effective manufacturing, 100% biodegradable.
Products
Its products are organic and waterless, based on the real quality of their ingredients and labeled Nature & Progress. We will find 100% natural soaps, balms, oils, solid shampoos, deodorants, shea butters. And the quality/price ratio is excellent.
We search, we search and then one day we end up coming across her site, and then another day, we meet her in person on a living room. From the start, it was a huge crush, and I must admit, it is thanks to this brand that I regained the desire to use soaps in my skincare routine. Their shape, the packaging, their smell, everything is crazy about its soaps. Another unreserved favorite is her whipped cream, which I personally use more as a body balm but which are great on dry skin. Its entire range is incredible, including solid deodorants or oils that are intended to remove makeup or serum or body.
