Carthage

Mathilde de Saint-Lager

Mathilde is one of those inspiring, profound women, brimming with charisma, whose uniqueness between her profound being and her life is immediately felt, the result of a constant quest to harmonize the creative power of the feminine, a thirst for freedom in the service of the other through the other, the anchoring in time and the spirit upward. She developed her talents in her art, that of creating jewelry that resembles and brings together her, using the lost-wax casting technique. A technique that develops at each stage of creation, from the conception of the jewel to its final form. From the wax, the desired shape comes out which will be used to create the mold from which his creations will come out, which must then be crimped, sanded, soldered, assembled to create authentic, unique pieces, with their possible imperfections full of charm. Carthage is above all a story of encounters, an invitation to travel to share and transmit, which is expressed in jewels full of meaning, timeless and which are part of our history.

Inspirations

Jewelry inspired by Nature, forged in its riches: earth, plants, plants, metals, stones, precious or less precious... all that matters is the wild beauty of these beautifully coordinated elements and their particular uniqueness. Taking their source in ancient civilizations, they carry with them the heritage and aesthetics of elsewhere.

Values

Freedom: with your feet on the ground and your head in the stars. Sincerity: an honest and transparent approach. Unity: a search for harmony between one's nature and nature. In a word: free jewels and the fruits of the encounter.

Products

Jewels that bear witness to 4 strong pillars: the quest for freedom, the power of the feminine, the beauty of elsewhere and the force of time. Her jewels carry within them the raw power of the material and the strength of femininity that subdue her to make it a precious object, both delicate and intense.

Tested and loved it

Carthage is a favorite from a few years ago. A Judith ring offered on a depressed evening that revealed a desire for the beautiful, the real, the authentic. How did I find myself on her site at the time? I don't know anymore, but what I remember is that this ring with her heart engraved like a Sacred Heart resonated so loudly at the sight of her in my heart that it was quickly on my finger. The years passed and Carthage came back to my memory, its creator was met, and confirmed why her universe already seduced me so much at the time: the strength of femininity at the service of her art, this quest for freedom, the passion that make her jewelry objects that have meaning.
